With Basic 3, we set out to make our most stable scale ever. A custom load cell delivers fast, reliable 0.1g accuracy, while an electromagnetic shield protects against interference from magnetic tools and nearby devices.

Get a grip.

We’ve traded the old, smaller mat for a thicker, wrap-around design that hugs the Basic 3 from edge to edge. Because it wraps the chassis, it stays securely in place while you brew or handle your scale. Flip it over for a contoured portafilter rest, or let the deep channels guide spills safely away.

Slide to Espresso Mode for precise extraction timing and weight tracking.

Drop and Tare Place your cup on the scale. Basic 3 tares automatically.

Hands-Free Timing Start your shot. Timing and weight tracking begin with the first drop.

Set Your Ratio Press and hold the ratio button. Add your coffee, then tap to confirm. The scale shows your real-time ratio as you brew.

Start When You Pour Tap the timer to begin a 3-second lead-in. The timer pauses until your first pour, so your scale starts exactly when you do.

Lock Your Results Lift the carafe to lock your final weight and time. Your brew data stays on screen.
